En agosto de 2012 el desempleo en España ha alcanzado a casi una cuarta parte de los que desean trabajar, desde el último trimestre de 2011 registra tasas negativas de crecimiento del PIB y las estimaciones coinciden en que no será sino hasta 2014 cuando se empiecen a percibir algunos síntomas de recuperación. ¿Cómo, por qué, se ha llegado a esta situación? Hasta hace solo unos cuantos años -hasta 2008 concretamente-, la economía española arrojaba resultados muy distintos y, en apariencia, no había motivos sólidos para suponer que pudiera ocurrir lo que sí está ocurriendo.
