摘要：The U.S. green industry (floriculture and environmental horticulture) is the fastest growing agricultural sector in grower cash receipts, with an average annual growth rate of 9 percent since 1982. Green industry crops totaled $8.7 billion in grower cash receipts, earned 11 percent of the total cash receipts for 'all crops, and ranked sixth in total grower cash receipts in 1991. Average net farm income for green industry fann enterprises grew 10 percent annually during 1987-90. In 1990, at $53,589, it was the highest among all farm production specialties. In 1991, the average net farm income fell sharply to $24,261 due to lower aggregate sales and a higher count of farms specializing in green industry crops. Green industry farms receive little government assistance and are generally under less financial stress than other farm types.
