摘要：Se analiza en este trabajo el proceso de reconversión de los alojamientos hoteleros en las seis principales regiones turísticas españolas durante el periodo 2002-2012 mediante el análisis de fuentes secundarias. Dicho proceso ha estado institucionalmente inspirado por el objetivo de la recualificación, de forma que se ha incentivado por distintas vías el crecimiento de la oferta de mayor categoría en la creencia de que esto incrementaría el valor añadido obtenido por la industria y generaría, en último término, efectos sociales positivos en las poblaciones receptoras. Los resultados muestran que muchas de las consecuencias que se esperaban de este proceso de cambio institucional no han llegado a materializarse en la realidad.
其他摘要：This paper analyzes the restructuring process of the hotel industry in Spain’s main six tourism regions, through secondary data. According to its explicit objectives, the main aim of the process was to qualify the Spanish hotel industry. In order to do so, the development of higher quality accommodation (i.e, five stars hotels) has been fostered in recent years, through several policies, considering that it would finally lead to the increase the industry’s added value and, ultimately, to promote social positive effects on the host regions. However, research results show that, even if a restructuring process has actually taken place, a vast majority of the expected positive results have not occurred.
