摘要：Las instituciones de educación superior se encuentran en una búsqueda constante de instrumentos que les permitan evaluar la calidad de la educación impartida. La aplicación de encuestas es una herramienta idónea para conocer la percepción del egresado en cuanto a la formación recibida y comprender el recorrido laboral y académico que cada individuo experimenta una vez obtenido el título profesional. Como consecuencia de la vinculación de la Universidad Eafit al sistema colombiano de acreditación, en abril de 1997, en la Oficina de Planeación se inició el desarrollo de investigaciones que permiten un seguimiento periódico a las diferentes cohortes y evaluar así algunos indicadores de éxito profesional. En este artículo se describen algunos aspectos conceptuales del seguimiento a egresados, se presenta el recorrido que la Oficina de Planeación ha tenido en este tipo de trabajos y se resumen los principales resultados que el equipo de investigación ha encontrado.
其他摘要：Higher education institutions are in a constant search of instruments that allow them to evaluate the quality of their education. The application of surveys is a suitable tool to know the perception of the graduated population about the received formation and to understand the labor and academic tour that every individual experiences once the professional degree is obtained. As consequence of the entrance of Eafit University to the Colombian accreditation system on April of 1997, the Planning offi ce began the development of researches that allow a periodic follow-up to the different cohorts and to evaluate some indicators of professional success. The article describes some conceptual aspects of the professional follow-up and it presents the tour that the Planning Offi ce has on this type of works and summarizes the main results found by the research team.
