  • 摘要:The assessment of appropriateness of several computing methods for calculating thermal conductivity of mixtures involving polyatomic gases has been investigated by performing calculations on a large number of actual systems where experimental data are available. The procedures are : the linear and reciprocal mixing rules; a combination of these two; a quadratic expression method; three methods of Hirschfelder, Curtiss and Bird; and Lindsay Bromley method. Nineteen different binary gas pairs and six ternary systems have been considered. This work will help in predicting thermal conductivity of mixtures in respect of which directly measured values are not available.
