摘要：This paper reveals obstacles and challenges women politicians in Oklahoma feel they themselves or women in general face as officeholders Also examined in this paper is whether attending leadership programs for women, such as N.E. W. Leadership institute held each year at the University of Oklahoma's Carl Albert Center provide an extra edge for women politicians. In determining fact from fiction with regards to these issues, an analysis was done using a mail-in survey of 49 female officeholders in county, city, and state level political positions.
