摘要:Even though six annotations by the playhouse bookkeeper comprise fairly slim evidence, I believe they provide conclusive proof that the scribe’s copy for Dick of Devonshire, BL MS Egerton 1994, folios 30–51, was the playhouse copy as prepared for production by the company bookkeeper. These six annotations are indeed ‘Playhouse Shadows’ that identify the scribe’s copy-text.
