摘要：O artigo examina a temática “emprego” no discurso político do Presidente do Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, durante a campanha de reeleição em 2006. O corpus corresponde aos programas televisivos veiculados em rede obrigatória para todo o País. O atual Presidente brasileiro concorreu cinco vezes à Presidência, entretanto, essa foi a primeira como mandatário do Governo Federal. Tomando como base pesquisa anterior sobre os discursos do ex-metalúrgico, desenvolvida por esta autora durante o doutoramento, destacam-se quais as mudanças em relação às outras campanhas quando Lula pertencia à oposição. The Issue “Employment” in the President of Brazil’s Political Speech during his Reelection Campaign The article examines the theme “employment” in the political speech of the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during his reelection campaign in 2006. The corpus corresponds to the television programs broadcasted in mandatory net for the whole country. The current Brazilian President concurred five times for Presidency, however, this was the first one as a member of the Federal Government. Taking as base a previous survey about the speeches of the former metallurgic, also developed by this author, what changes are distinguished related to the other campaigns when Lula belonged to the opposition.
