摘要:Research policy is an understudied area of higher education, but has been covered extensively in the field of science policy studies. In this essay I compare the citation histories of two books on research policy, one from the perspective of science policy studies and the other from higher education. Each book utilizes different conceptual frameworks (principal-agent theory and academic capitalism), which may contribute to the differences in their citation networks.
