摘要:Recent work in second language acquisition research has focused on the nature and role of input to the second language learner rather than on the nature of the output produced by the second language learner. While input studies are ultimately concerned with the role of input in the second language acquisition process, preliminary work has attempted to characterize the nature of input. In considering the relationship between input and output in the second language acquisition process, it is first necessary to identify the characteristics of input; i.e. is it different from the language addressed to native speakers and if so, is this difference qualitative or quantitative?
