摘要:A comparison of ultra-wideband (UWB) communication characteristics for two different shapes of stairs with concrete and iron materials are investigated. The impulse responses of these stairs are computed by shooting and bouncing ray/image (SBR/Image) techniques and inverse Fourier transform. Numerical results show that the bit error rate (BER) of binary-pulse amplitude modulation (B-PAM) system for the concrete case is smaller than that for the iron case. Finally, it is worth noting that in these cases the present work provides not only comparative information but also quantitative information on the performance reduction.
