摘要:This paper adopt the generalized network utility maximization (GNUM) approach and propose a cross-layer optimized congestion, contention and power control algorithm for ad hoc networks. The goal is to find optimal end-to-end source rates at the transport layer, per-link persistence probabilities at the medium access control layer and transmitting power at the physical layer to maximize the aggregate source utility. Despite the inherent difficulties of non-convexity and non-separability of variables in the original optimization problem, we obtain a decoupled and dual-decomposable convex formulation by applying an appropriate transformation and introducing some new variables. The three decomposed sub-optimization problems are coordinated through the congestion prices. The convergence properties of the three sub-algorithms are also proved. Simulation results further verify the effectiveness and the convergence of our proposed algorithm.
