摘要：Robert Frost's poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" begins with a seemingly simple incident, but ends by suggesting meanings far beyond anything specifically referred to in the narrative. A tentative analysis of this poem is implemented from the aspects of rhyme scheme, diction and image, which contribute to the depiction of a picture or an episode within the picture. That deepens the theme of human ambivalence and its conflicts.
