摘要：In this paper, we studied the titles of 200 research articles drawn from two journals, one written in English (100 titles) and the other one written in Spanish (100 titles) in the field of neurology in the period 2001-2012. We recorded the frequency of different variables, including length, lexical density (content and function words), title types (nominal, verbal, simple, compound), title structure (nominal groups, pre- and post-modifiers, punctuation usage) and collaboration practices in order to determine whether cross-linguistic differences were observed. Our results show that similarities outweigh differences.
