摘要:The post office was a central institution in rural Canadian communities of earlier times. In this study of the period between 1880 and 1945, we explore the economic function of the postal system, the priorities and attitudes of those who used it, and finally the significance of the post office in terms of geographic location and as a place of social interaction.
