摘要:Latin America has long been at the centre of resistance to the depredations of neoliberalism. In “Indigenous Control over Health Care in the Midst of Neoliberal Reforms in Colombia: An Uneasy Balance,” Javier Mignone, Jorge Nállim, and John Harold Gómez Vargas consider the struggle of indigenous people in Colombia to gain control over the organization of heath care services. The careful assessment shows certain gains in access to care as well as employment, particularly by women, even as it identifies the threat to these gains posed by the underlying neoliberal model.
